Measure the outside of your frame, laid flat — not the numbers printed inside the arm.
Take your glasses off and lay them flat, front down. Measure the full outside width hinge to hinge, then the tallest point of the lens rim, top edge to bottom edge.
Vista is one size. Unusually deep or curved frames, thick arms, and lenses that protrude forward can be a tight fit or won't fit at all — even when width and height look right. Never force Vista over your glasses.

Are these prescription sunglasses?

No. Vista has plain sun lenses and goes over the prescription glasses you already own. Your own glasses do the correcting, and you don't enter a prescription when ordering.
Will they press on my glasses, or on my nose?

Vista weighs 34 grams — lighter than a golf ball. The arms flex outward around your frames rather than squeezing against them, so you're adding about a third of the weight of a coffee cup across the points your glasses already rest on.
Comfort still depends on your particular combination, so check for pressure at the nose and ears when you first try them.
Can I wear Vista over progressives or bifocals?

Yes, as long as the frame fits with enough clearance. You keep looking through your own lenses underneath, so your progressives work exactly as normal. The only question is whether your frame fits inside Vista.
Will Vista fit every pair of glasses?

No. Width, height, frame shape, arm thickness and lens depth all matter. Use the fit checker above, and send us a photo of your glasses next to a ruler if you're unsure.
Never force Vista over your glasses.
Will my prescription glasses show underneath?

They may be visible, especially when Vista's lenses are in their lighter state. How noticeable it is depends on your frame, the tint you choose and the light you're in.
A fitover needs space around your glasses, so it looks larger than ordinary sunglasses. That's the trade for keeping your own prescription.
Could Vista scratch my glasses?

The two pairs should have clearance between them rather than rub together. Fit carefully, keep both pairs clean, and stop using the combination if the lenses touch.
If Vista only goes on by forcing it, the frame isn't compatible — send it back rather than persevering.
Will they slip when I look down?

Vista rests on the same bridge and ears as your own glasses, so it partly depends on how your frames already sit. Most people find the arms hold well because they close inward at the ends.
Test it looking down before you commit. If it isn't secure, returns are free.
Do the lenses go completely clear, or change instantly?

Neither. The tint changes gradually with the available light, and the lenses never go fully clear — there's always some tint.
Plan to take Vista off indoors when you want the view through your own glasses alone.
Do they work in the car?

The polarization still helps with reflected glare from wet road, paint and glass. Photochromic darkening is reduced behind a windscreen, because the glass filters out much of the light that activates the lenses.

Can I wear them over photochromic or polarized lenses?

Often, but two tinted layers make the view darker than either pair alone, and two polarized layers can interact with each other.
If your own lenses are already photochromic or polarized, email us before ordering so we can check it for how you'll use them.
What if my prescription changes?

Vista has no prescription to update. If you keep the same frame, just check the clearance again once new lenses go in. If you get a different frame, recheck its size and shape against the fit checker.
