THE COURSE DOES NOT STAY IN ONE LIGHT
Open fairways, cloud cover, tree-lined holes and late-afternoon sun can all happen in the same round.

Fixed-tint sunglasses stay the same. The course does not. A tint that works in full sun can feel too dark when the light drops. So the glasses come off, go back on, and the cycle repeats.
IT STARTS AS A COMFORT PROBLEM. THEN IT BECOMES A FOCUS PROBLEM.
Right when you should be watching the ball.
You shouldn’t have to choose between the frame you want and the lens that works.
Legend brings ActiveDim adaptive lens technology into a classic aviator. The lens adjusts as outdoor light changes, reducing the need to keep taking them on and off.
Proven ActiveDim performance. Classic aviator shape.
FROM EARLY TEE TIME TO FULL AFTERNOON SUN

One pair. No taking them on and off as the light changes.
★★★★★
The lenses adapt to sunlight and shade, so I am never squinting or swapping glasses mid-round.

GREY OR MIRROR?

Grey
Best all-round choiceNeutral colour perception and the most classic aviator appearance.
Choose Grey if you are unsure.

Mirror

Choose Mirror for more privacy.
Both lenses use the same ActiveDim Vision photochromic polarized technology.
ADJUSTS TO YOUR FACE, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
Most sunglasses fit whoever they happen to fit. Legend adjusts in three places, so you can set where it sits and how firmly it holds.
Adjustable nose pads
Bend them in or out to set how high the frame sits on your face.
Spring hinges
The arms flex outward, so they hold steady on a narrow head without gripping a wider one.
Fully bendable arms
Shape the tips to follow the curve behind your ear, so they stay put without pressure points.
Pads, hinges and arms all adjust, so Legend can be set up across a wide range of face shapes and head widths.
Best fit: medium to larger faces, with the pads and hinges extending the range in both directions.
Compare with a pair that already fits you.
In the box: hard case, cloth pouch, cleaning cloth.
LEGEND MEASUREMENTS

Most sunglasses print their size inside the arm, for example 55 18 145. Those numbers are lens width, bridge width and temple length. Compare them with the diagram above.

Fast reaction, and polarized
The best photochromatic sunglasses on the market, and I've tried a few. Fast reaction. Just the right tint level, quite dark in bright sun. And polarised! Great on the water.

This is how sunglasses are supposed to feel
The visual experience feels different. Glare is noticeably reduced, yet the colors remain natural and not overly darkened. It actually made me think, this is how sunglasses are supposed to feel.

Before you buy
Legend adjusts at every contact point, so it is shaped to you rather than the other way around.
Nose pads bend in or out to set how high the frame sits and to stop it sliding. Spring hinges flex outward, so the frame holds steady on a narrower head without gripping a wider one. The arm tips bend to follow the curve behind your ear.
If you are unsure once they arrive, reach out and we will talk you through the adjustments. Exact measurements are in the fit section further up this page., so it is shaped to you rather than the other way around.

Yes, they are polarized. And no, they should not interfere with depth perception the way many other polarized lenses do.
Standard polarization is tuned to kill glare and nothing else, which is why golfers and racquet players often complain that greens read oddly or a fast ball is harder to judge. Our polarization is tuned for people who need to judge distance while they are moving, so you get the glare reduction without the trade-off that puts a lot of players off polarized lenses entirely.
If you are unsure, the easiest way to know is to try them out yourself. If they are not right for you, returns are free.
Both use the same ActiveDim Vision lens technology. Hero has a wraparound sport fit. Legend has a classic aviator fit.
If you want maximum wrap and coverage, choose Hero. If you prefer a traditional frame you can wear on and off the course, choose Legend.
They start reacting within seconds, and reach their full state in roughly one to three minutes depending on UV intensity and temperature. Strong direct sun is faster than a bright overcast day, and cold weather is slower than warm.
Photochromic lenses also have a short break-in period, so the first week or two will not be quite as quick as they are once they have settled.
Photochromic lenses react to UV, and a modern windscreen filters most UV out, so the lens will not reach its darkest state in the car.
What still works behind glass is the polarization and the base tint, which cut reflected glare from the road and bonnet. If maximum darkness behind the windscreen is your priority, a fixed dark driving lens may suit you better.
Grey is the best all-round choice and what we recommend if you are unsure. Neutral colour, the most classic aviator look.
Mirror is the same adaptive lens with a bolder reflective finish.
Not at the moment. Legend is not available as a prescription frame.
We are working on the Vista, a fitover model designed to be worn comfortably over your own glasses, with the same adaptive lens. It is coming soon.

Yes. The lens is tuned for changing outdoor light, which is what you get on the course, on the water and on the road. See the driving answer above for how photochromic lenses behave behind a windscreen.
